Abstract— Wasting food is a common problem in our society. Food waste management is crucial since it can improve our environmental and economic sustainability. We have identified the use of mobile technology to reduce food waste management and built an android mobile application that allows restaurants to donate and share their foods and leftovers with people in need. This app will enable users to register, login, view items, add items, add items to cart, remove an item from the cart, and log out. This app is using the firebase storage and real-time database. A Food Wastage Reduction Mobile Application Any user in need can see all the food images donated by different users and add it to his or her cart.

One of these solutions is to provide an environmentally friendly, efficient and effective garbage management system. The current garbage collection system includes routine garbage trucks doing rounds daily or weekly, which not only doesn’t cover every zone of the city but is a completely inefficient use of government resources. This paper proposes a cost-effective mobile or web based system for the government to utilize available resources to efficiently manage the overwhelming amounts of garbage collected each day, while also providing a better solution for the inconvenience of garbage disposal for the citizens. Location Based Garbage Management System for Smart City This is done by a network of smart bins which integrates cloud-based techniques to monitor and analyze data collected to provide predictive routes generated through algorithms for garbage trucks. An android or web app is developed for the workforce and the citizens, which primarily provides the generated routes for the workforce and finds the nearest available smart bin for citizens.

Existing System

The obvious solution to this is for the cleaning staff to stay near garbage bins every day till they fill up to clean them. This is not a real solution.

There are some notable negative effects when considering the garbage bins always being full. One of the main effects is the surrounding area starting to smell and be very unpleasant. When

the garbage bins are full people put their trash on sides of the garbage bins.

PROPOSED System                 

  • The proposed system overview for this system. Solid waste management can be broadly categorized as segregation, collection, and transportation.
  • The server will collect the data and store them only a database. This data will be analyzed and displayed on two different dashboards that can be accessed by the workforce and clients.
  • Using data analytics, reports will be generated which can be monitored by the admins through the admin dashboard.
  • Based on the data collected, garbage trucks can be given routes generated through various algorithms and google maps API to efficiently route through all necessary garbage bins and finally reach the dumping site

But now a day’s hand wash is outdated, due to work load. Washing machines of high capacity are developed and steam pressing and calendaring machines have also come up to make wrinkle free and press automatically. Dry cleaning is a process of cleaning costly clothes in specific solvent with the help of washing machine. In conventional washing, water is the main medium and detergent or soap is used for washing. In such case, costly clothes may shrink or colour may fade in the presence of strong alkalis. Laundry Service Mobile App So valuable clothes, sarees, coats, etc. are dry washed. As dry cleaning need lot of care and systematic procedure and chemicals, it is not easy to carry out at home and service units are found in major towns for this activity. The Project will have automatic Washing machine also to undertake the order of wet cleaning of the cloths. Facility for pressing of the cloths of customer will also be available.

During disaster events, timely and targeted information provision and exchange could provide great help to the stricken population in difficult and complicated environments. This paper reports a service oriented system, called Rescue Wings, for providing emergency support to sufferers and rescuers in disasters. The system utilizes mobile services to acquire real-time information about the users and environment, and constructs service agents (servants) to provide active services for mobile users. To perform their functions, the servants frequently invoke a set of intelligent services of Rescue Wings, which can further access a number of public services from government and other public organizations. We identify the most frequent request sequence patterns (FRSP) of Rescue Wings, and develop a new bio-inspired algorithm for efficiently scheduling the requests to minimize the response delay. Rescue Wings: Mobile Computing And Active Services Support For Disaster The system has been tested in several disaster rescue drills, and has been successfully applied to the 2013 Ya’an Earthquake in Southeast China.

Weather Stations-Assisted Barometric Altimeter

Abstract—The increasing availability of smartphones equipped with barometric sensors enables their use as barometric altimeters.
However, an accurate measurement requires updated information about the temperature and the mean sea level pressure at the location of the measurement. With this aim, this work proposes, analyzes, and compares spatial interpolation methods applied to atmospheric pressure and temperature reports from nearby reference weather stations in order to derive reference values to be used by altimeters. As a proof-of-concept, we implemented an Android Altimeter application. Its validation was performed by a set field experiments. Preliminary results show the potential of the proposed methods for the accuracy of smartphone-based barometric altimeters.

Location based services for three-dimensional space positioning usually resort to GPS to determine the elevation but, even if the horizontal accuracy is acceptable for the majority of usage scenarios, the vertical accuracy is not sufficiently reliable for applications requiring accurate altitude information.
Altimeters are traditionally used in activities such as aircraft flights, rescue operations, military operations, skydiving, and climbing. Despite the existence of other types of altimeters such as the sonic and radar altimeters, the pressure-based altimeter still is largely used by aircrafts.
The increasing availability of smartphones equipped with barometric sensors enables their use as barometric altimeters.
However, the solutions that we propose in this work are generic, being applicable both to smartphones and to special purpose hardware (if equipped with barometric sensor, computation, and communication capabilities).
An accurate measurement requires updated information about the temperature and the mean sea level pressure at the location of the measurement. For this purpose, mechanical barometric altimeters [1] require user intervention either by adjusting the “barometer setting” with the mean sea level pressure reported by a weather station, or by setting the altimeter to a known altitude [2]. On other hand, smartphone applications [3] usually retrieve the “barometer setting” from a web server in order to automatically adjust the altimeter. However, the poor accuracy of altitude measurements of these applications led us to investigate the source of these inaccuracies, and how to overcome them.
A prevalent problem is the barometer accuracy. Since these sensors are less accurate than the ones certified for professional use, the values measured pressure values tend to be noisy. This problem can be easily mitigated by using a simple low-pass filter [4].
Since, the density of weather stations is sparse, the accuracy of the altitude calculation depends on the distance to the stations and on the current sea surface level atmospheric pressure gradient.
To our knowledge, existing applications neglect the fact that atmospheric data is collected at scattered locations, thus resorting to reports from the nearest station (polygonal method [5]), which is often distant from the point of interest for the altitude calculation. This introduces an error in the altitude estimation that could be avoided interpolating the pressure values of the nearby weather stations with appropriate methods [5], [6].
Weather stations typically broadcast weather reports on a hourly or half-hourly basis. The atmospheric pressure values are often rounded down before transmission, having a 1 hPa resolution. The error introduced is usually lower than 9 meters (at standard temperature). However, in the time span between weather reports, the atmospheric conditions may change considerably.
One solution to this problem, still not used in this work, is to request a couple of recent past weather reports in order to perform temporal extrapolation (e.g., polynomial or Kriging 1D [5]), to estimate the trend of the variation. An alternative solution could be the use of forecast models of
atmospheric pressure variation.
Aiming at improving the accuracy of barometric based altitude calculations, we propose, analyze, and compare spatial interpolation methods applied to atmospheric pressure and temperature reports from nearby reference weather stations.
The interpolated values are then used to adjust the altimeter setting. As a proof-of-concept, we implemented an Altimeter application for Android smartphones equipped with barometric sensors.
We present the following main contributions:
1) We propose and analyze spatial interpolation methods to estimate the reference atmospheric pressure and temperature to be used by the barometric altimeter;
2) As a proof-of-concept, we implemented an Android Altimeter application. However, the proposed solution is suitable to be used in special purpose Altimeter devices;

3) We evaluate and compare the proposed interpolation methods for the altitude calculation using real experiments.
The remainder of this paper is organized as follows: Section II reviews existing smartphone applications for altitude measurement. Section III discusses how the atmospheric pressure can be used to derive the altitude of some measurement point above mean sea level. Section IV discusses candidate spatial interpolation techniques for the derivation of the atmospheric pressure and temperature references. Section V presents the main features of the proof-of concept Altimeter Android application implemented in this work. Section VI evaluates and compares the proposed solutions via experimental field tests. Finally, Section VII presents the main conclusions of this work, and discusses future research directions.

Abstract— Increasingly developed world internet and social multimedia services allow users to view, tag, and comments also upload large amount of data to search the content among this metadata through text based searching is widely preferred by users. To increase the search efficiency of the searchers we enhanced the model of ternary relationship among users, images and tags; to jointly model of tensor factorization, to perform the low-rank approximation.
In this paper, we propose a model to considering the user interest, user specified query in user specified topic space and rank the result list the effect of effective personalize tag-based search. This model is tested for complex multiple word based query and it’s showing suitable results.

With the text based searching in web search engines have played the main role in accessing the content available on web. Now today’s most search engine is not able to provide efficient quality search outcomes. Approximately 45-55% of the web search engines fails to search any significant results for searcher[2]. This situation may occurs due to small and unclear user queries. For example- “PC” can be a Personal Computer or Program counter. Another reason may be that user may have special sense for the same word. For example query for word-“Apple” can be a fruit or it can be a manufacturing company. In that case to resolve this situation the solution is effective Personalize search. In Personalize search the information of query is related to user is assumed and predict actual intention of the user and then the result is ranked accordingly. Whereas complex and meaningful words are also not shown exact result as per user intention in nonpersonalized search.
Existing image retrieval and ranking is based on features which are contained in images, such as color, texture and shape. The edges & histogram is an index mechanism which allows us to describe a content of images. In our system we use tags in metadata for image retrieval. The indexing mechanism enables users to recover the images associated with a query which formulated with their concept. User refers text to retrieve an image not content of image. User will get more accuracy and speed is high with help of Tag-Based Image Search Technique. Because the user assign and retrieving the image based on tags, comment, annotation of the image, this information related to visual similarity of the images.
We really consider that the combination of user information adds to a better understanding and explanation of the tagging data. Let us consider the following examples to understand this observation. In Fig.2 User A has tagged the image of Jaguar car as jaguar and another User B has tagged Jaguar animal as jaguar. Second picture in the same image shows a metro, in which the tagging done by an engineer and other persona tags as train. Our main goal is to recover the original relations between the images and tags which are supported with unprocessed tagging data on the Internet.

In proposed model we improve the tensor factorization this mode developed to predict annotation is consider predict potential annotation for images, and also improve userspecific modeling which is map query content relevance and user interest into same user specific topic space. The user creates the tagging activity and this user interaction with tagging gives remarkable results.

In this paper we introduce the user factor into social image annotation analysis, and improve the relations between the images and annotations from the observed tagging data. Our aim is to obtain user-aware images from complex word based tags, the tags, comment and annotation provide by users to the images in form of simple- single or complex multiple word based tags.
We apply a method Tensor Factorization Parallel Modeling (TFPM) to predict tag and annotation similar to RMTF. It contains three components data collection, TFPM, and ranking module. In data collection, three types information is available such as users, images, and tags as well as their ternary interrelations and intra-relations are collected. In TFPM module, we utilize tensor factorization and enhance it and ternary relations as the collection of components. The issue is that some contents and words are use between the annotations by the user they decrease the efficiency of tensor factorization the words like “is”, “that”, “which”, “are”, “some”, etc. we avoid this problem using stop words modeling from user search query. These words may consider noisy tags using filtering strategy by exploiting the tag correlation on context and semantics.

Abstract—To understand how to encourage patients to become involved in mobile health (mHealth) development, and to identify their needs that existing mHealth services to not meet, we conducted a case study with diabetes patients. First, we used video analysis or interview to assess the usability of existing apps. Second, we conducted interviews with patients to elicit their clinical needs. We conclude that an mHealth app should provide
1) a function that can inform information about their insulin reaction to specific foods that they have previously eaten, 2) a report in doctor-familiar format to communicate with doctor easily, and 3) reviews of restaurants in SNS format. We developed a blood glucose management software Glucolight.

Mobile health (mHealth) can improve the effectiveness of diabetes self-care. Patients and healthcare providers can easily acquire patient-specific data from a mHealth service, because most patients always carry a mobile phone. Also, patients can make optimal clinical decisions by using analytical results of these data. mHealth applications (apps) also can be used to support diabetes care, but in Korea most patients do not use them, because (1) the user interfaces of existing apps are not easy to use, and (2) mHealth apps usually only record data and provide simple interpretation functions, so patients do not find any value in switching their self-care behavior from using a paper diary to using a mobile. Therefore, to develop successful mHealth apps for patients, we should consider both the design of the interface and the patients’ unmet needs. We studied two aspects of mHealth and developed a mobile app Glucolight. The user-centered approach has been used to develop mHealth in prior research [1]. Most researchers conducted requirement elicitation study before development, and tested the usability of their app after development. However, we thought that an early-stage study would be superior in both of these stages.
Usually, patients who have experienced abnormal blood glucose (BG) reactions have their own tacit knowledge of BG control. For example, by noting their bodily reaction, patients can remember the amount of insulin that is appropriate to specific meals. However, remembering BG reactions to all foods is a challenging and burdensome task. We also elicited the problem in our user study, and reflected it in our app.
